The micellar system
In water, the formula's two cleansing agents, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides and PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, form micelles: microscopic spheres with an oil-loving core and a water-friendly surface. When a soaked pad touches the skin, the micelles take up light makeup, oil and impurities, and gentle sweeps of the pad carry them away.

Erythritol
A humectant made from sugars by fermentation that holds water at the skin's surface. It is the second ingredient after water and, with aloe vera, panthenol and sodium hyaluronate, helps keep skin from feeling tight after cleansing.

How to use

Soak a cotton pad with micellar water.
Sweep it gently over the face and lips, avoiding direct contact with the eyes.
Repeat with a fresh pad until it comes away clean.
For heavier makeup, hold the soaked pad on the skin for 10–15 seconds before sweeping.
Used as directed, no rinsing is needed. If your skin is sensitive, or you prefer, rinse with water.
In the evening, after makeup or SPF, follow with ESSENTIAL foam. If the product gets into your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.

General warnings: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water. Discontinue use if irritation or redness occurs. Keep out of reach of children.

Questions about the formula

Does it remove waterproof makeup?

It is formulated for light makeup. For waterproof makeup and water-resistant sunscreen, hold the soaked pad on the area for a few seconds, then follow with ESSENTIAL foam for a thorough cleanse.

Does it need rinsing?

Used as directed, no. If your skin is sensitive, or you like the feel of a rinse, you can rinse with water.

Why use it before ESSENTIAL foam?

The micellar water takes off makeup and sunscreen first; the foam then clears what's left and any excess oil. Each product does one job well, and the foam doesn't have to remove makeup on its own.

Can I use it on my eyelids?

Yes, with gentle sweeps, avoiding direct contact with the eyes. If your eyes are sensitive, rinse the area with water afterwards.
